This is Babs (dog) and Mel (cat). Babs was injured in an accident where the pads of her feet were torn up and she had to be bandaged for several weeks. She found it difficult to walk so she spent most of the time laying down on a pull out couch. Mel stayed by her side those weeks while she got better. :)
