Hello. Have a full house here. 4 dogs - 1 cat Gold Ret, collie, cocapoo and american mastiff. Anyone have any advice how to keep my cat out of the Christmas tree when I'm not home? Thanks Tammy Dog Groomer

LOL My hubby brought home a kitten a few weeks ago. My daughter named him Jasper but I think Tarzen would be better. He loves the tree and I can't keep him out of it. I have no idea what to tell you, but I have 4 other cats and by their second Christmas, they found it much more fun to sleep under it. Good luck!

I had the same problem with Macey's first Christmas. I talked to my vet and she suggested having a water bottle at the ready. When you see kitty going to or already in the tree spray her with a little water. It does work after time. Sometimes though she just looks at me as if to say Whatever!

Hello & Welcome !! I get Bitter Apple in a Spray Bottle I buy it at Petsmart.
It is generally in the Doggie section of the store. Cats hate the smell & Taste I spay the entire bottom of the tree with the stuff . I keep ornaments up a few feet from the bottom as not to temp them !! Don't forget Tensil can be deadly to them if it does not pass through their systems !! Anyway back to the Bitter Apple....Be careful spaying OLD or CLOTH ornaments or hand made paper ones...As they may discolor after being Sprayed. I usually spray the trunk really well and everything including the tree skirt. You have to spary every few days to keep the smell FRESH !!!

Bitter Apple is Great to Spray on electrical cords so they don't chew through or bite them. You can spay it on your hands so that kittens will not bite you while training them when little. It's GREAT for use on Dogs so they do not chew !! It is also GREAT for ferret's teaching them not to bite also !!

Good LUCK !!! :D :D
