Help!!??

My cousins were just given a dog by a neighbor. Based on their past experiances with dogs, I don't think they should have one. The 2 youngest kids aren't ready to take care of a dog. And if you knew them, you would know that it's really hard for them to turn down a cute little puppy. They say it's a golden retriever/lab mix, but it is very, very tiny. They don't have any papers for him either. I know they are most likely going to keep him, but I wish there was a way to influence them not to. What do I tell them? HELP!? :confused:

I don't know what to tell you. You are in a hard situation. Maybe you could just wait and if the dog isn't being cared for properly you could make an anonymous call to the Humane Society and have them go check out the situation? I know that sounds drastic, but if the animal is being mistreated it's the best solution. Until then you could ask them if they realize what a huge responsibilty a puppy is, and try to talk them out of it. Remind them of their previous dogs and what happened.
