I am a 69 yr. old retired man.I am new here. I live alone with my indoor cat (Jimi).I am looking for someone that would take care of my cat in the event that I might be hospitalized or my demise.I don't have any relatives and my neighbors are not cat people. I don't plan on having to leave him anytime soon but at my age you never know and I fear that if something happened to me he might be alone in the house for an unknown amount of time. I am willing to pay for his food and board as long as I would be alive. In the event of my death,if you did not want to keep him,I would appreciate it if you would place him in a no kill shelter if you could not find someone to take him.

Thanks

Willie Mallard

P.S.
I live in Ocala,Florida

I suggest you investigate a few rescue groups. Also ask your vet for ideas. You might check out pet sitters too. There most likely are organizations where you can make pre-arrangements for pets, though I'm not sure how it's done.

Investigate all rescue organizations and pet sitters extremely carefully before making any final decisions.

Welcome to Pet Lovers. We'd love to hear more about Jimi.
