Birds are spectacular. wow, I have never personally owned a macaw ,parrot or cockatoo, but I have had the pleasure of working with a male Eclectus for a period of time. A friend has raised macaws and eclectus babies. She has an abused orange wing amazon that has some really bad respiratory problems.The sweet bird had been in a house with a cigar smoker for years, the bird is doing much better now and is even talking. My friend rescues birds and she is really teaching me alot as are you all. I became attached to a young male Eclectus named Handsome that she had been caring for and I was crying when she placed him in a home, but I cannot have a bird with all of my cats and a very busy lifestyle, there would not be enough time spent with a bird. I am currently using pastels to draw a picture of him from a photo. Birds are so emotional and full of passion and love, it just amazed me after spending time with Handsome. I will always love him. .. and miss him. Lavendercat

Our Parrots are a HOOT!!!. They are so much fun... very loud and messy.... but its all worth it when they say "I love you!".

I would love to see the picture when your done :D
