service dogs

I have two yorkies and wondered if anyone knew how I could registered them as service dogs. I live in Alabama and don't know if they have specific guidelines. I would appreciate any help offered. If needed, you can email me at jn_bowling@yahoo.com

Dear jn bowling;
My husband & I were in a nursing home for rehabilitation for a few months.
That was here in Georgia. While staying there ; we were visited by some wonderful doggies ! I don't remember the name of the group though. SORRY !! But ; Perhaps if you contacted various nursing homes and asked about such groups they could direct you. At least they could give you a name of a group; and I am sure the group could tell you how to qualify. ;)
In the meantime I'll call the nursing home we were at & see if I can get a name there. The qualifications may vary from State to State but it's a place to start. You may contact your Local Humane society; or where you get your dog lisc. Your Vet may even have a few names.

I just finished hospital therapy dog training wiht my one year old pug in New York with an organization called the Good Dog Foundation. They may only be basedn in NY state but I'm sure if you contacted them they could let you know about resources in your area. I'm not positive what their web address is but you could try typing in the good dog foundation. I'll try to see if I can find it and post later.
