So I have a 8 month old cat and a 2 year old one, they used to absolutely love this milk called "Cat Sip", but I can't find it in stores anymore. Now the only cat-friendly milk I can find is Kitten Milk Replacement by Pet Ag that says is for use for kittens 6 months and under.
Is it harmful if I feed this to my older cats? I read the ingredients for it and it seems safe, especially if it's already for kittens. Just seems weird that they wouldn't advertise for all cats as my cats absolutely LOVE milk.

It isn't toxic to adult cats, but kittens have high caloric needs and an adult cat would pack on pounds pretty fast. I'm lactose intolerant and have found that a small amount of the lactose free milk I drink doesn't give any of the cats upset tummy's. I don't know about soy milk for cats, but doesn't Whiskas make a cat milk for adult cats?

Ahh yeah they seem to. It's unfortunate that they don't carry them in any stores around me, but I can always order online, thanks :)

My kitty who died from lymphoma last year had lactose free milk very frequently towards the end of his life and had no problems with it. My vet actually recomended to try with him in order to get him to eat something. I think you would be pretty safe with it.

Ahh so the cat milk is basically glorified lactose free milk? It would probably be much cheaper for me to just get some of that instead, if that's the case.
Funny thing my doctor just recently said I may be lactose intolerant, so I may have needed to get some anyways :P Thanks!

I've always been under the impression that cat milk isn't milk at all, LOL. Not sure about that though. I found the taste of lactose free milk tolerable but almost kind of sweet in taste, not great, not too bad though. I prefer soy if I can't have the real thing.

While I like the taste of soy milk, soy is rougher on my digestion than lactose. Pngwyn, if you are lactose intolerant the people around you may know it before you do. :yuck: Horrible sulfuric smelling gas at least half the time after eating dairy. Yogurt seems to contain less, ice cream and real whip cream the most.
