I hope this works. This is a pic of my 16 month old male merle Great Dane, Horatio. In the background is Panzer, my German Shepherd, and Trinity, my female harl Dane.

I see it :D He's a big boy, but I really don't like the ears cropped. I saw a show on Animal Planet about Danes, & they said that they do surgery to crop the ears, & it looked painful. Anyway, welcome to the forum also. :)

A lot of people don't like cropped ears. I, myself, will always have my males cropped, while leaving my females natural-eared. Just a matter of preference, I guess.

I'm sure it's painful to a degree, but never once did he act like his ears bothered him.

Oh he's gorgeous!!!.. and doing what a Dane's do best... laying around on the couch LOL. I love merles... he's beautiful fin! :)
