I have 2 Yorkies, 4 years old, both male, who are littermates. I have had them since they were 10 weeks old. They were the last dogs to join my household, making a total of 5. Even though they play and socialize with the other dogs and cats, they prefer each others' company. When they are wrestling with the others, they make little barking, growling, play sounds. But when they play with each other, both Bingo and Jack are totally silent. I just think its strange that they don't make a sound when they are wrestling with each other. It's weird to watch them do the rough and tumble play in complete silence. I have watched them play for 20 minutes with each other and never a noise do they make. Whenever they are playing together, the other dogs just leave them alone and don't try to join in. I guess it's a family thing.

Since they have always been together they probably are able to recognize subtle body language shared that needs no "discussion".
