I found an old piccie of Spike that I don't remember posting here or not. Anyway, this shows what Spike does best - sleeping & not getting into trouble :p I hope y'all like it.

Spike's so pretty. I have a yellow green parakeet. That's Banana! I never knew that birds had such personality until we got Banana.

Yeah, I know. One time when I was talking to my fiance on the phone, I had the speaker phone on, & he was making brownies or something. He turned on the blender while the speaker phone was on, & Spike started chirping. He also chirps to all different kinds of music too, from country to a cappella..he really is a neat little birdie for 7 bucks :D

One morning a few weeks ago I woke up and came out to the living room. I could hear the sounds of many birds singing. It is too hot right now in Florida to have your windows open. I was sure it was open though. I could hear all the birds, both far and near. I got closer and sure enough, the window was closed. Banana was imitating all the birds he hears all day! Louder and quieter- near and far! What a trick to my ears! I was fooled. It was really neat!

Spike is adoreable! I have those rings in my quaker cage. He likes to take the bottom one and put it around his neck and go to sleep with it. The only problem is when he wakes up and forgets it's there. He starts to move but can't get far and then he starts cussing and fighting with the ring until he feels he's beat it up but good! :D

Actually, Spike likes to wake me up sometimes in the morning w/those rings at like 8 am or so. He'll start banging his rings against his perch as if he's saying, "C'mon, wake up, so you can feed me." And then of course when I get up & feed him, he stops :rolleyes:
