Today I was at my local Petsmart to buy pellets and, hopefully, a nice mixture of seed to give my birds a little each day. (they love it- what bird doesn't??) Well, I looked at every bag of seed they had for parrots, and probably 75% of each mix was sunflower seeds!! It made me so mad, especially since some people feed their birds only that stuff and nothing else. Does anyone know of a good brand of parrot seed mix that is healthier? Even the bags of safflower mix were 75% safflower and only other seeds like canary seeds etc. So I ended up just going with the $22 tub of Nutriberries. My birds aren't complaining. ;)

I use L'Avian No sun flower seed mix. - get it from the local Feed dealer, not the petstore. Good quality feeds and pellets and a whole lot cheaper. 25 pounds 22.95

there are great seed mixes here: http://organicbirdfood.com/merchant.ihtml?id=2&step=2 (as well as pellets, sprot mixtures, etc- and they are all organic!)

it's cheaper & more healthy to get stuff online, i find.

also nutri-berries have ethoxyquin, a toxic preservative. (i was mad when i read the label AFTER i bought it!)
