When I joined this site, I assumed it would be free of sexist jokes/comments and anything else that doesn't have anything to do with pets. I don't appreciate being compared to a dog or being verbally spanked by some females in these forums simply because I was born with a p****. If their relationships with the men around them are a mess, all I can say is that it takes two to tango. There's no excuse for lashing out at innocent men -- or women for that matter.

Rather than vent your amorous frustrations in these forums, show some dignity, maturity, and class by seeking counseling. If that isn't enough, I'm sure there are plenty of websites where you can take out your spineless anger on someone halfway across the world ... without fear of retribution.

This site should be devoted to PETS AND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM. Discussing any other relationships should be avoided. ... I know I will.

Hi Beaglemaster.....When Mr Petlover decided to add Mods, he asked current members that were interested to PM him and he appointed the current mods ;) .
.
edroxton~ I wasn't aware there were posts that offended you, I apologize. People will be people and we like to be able to have free speech and let members have a right to their opinions... sometimes it does go beyond pets... but I'm sure most of it was said not meaning to offend anyone. I see posts that I personally disagree with, but unless it is inappropriate for young vewers or to be posted on this board, I usually let it be and go on... I cant speak for the other Mods on this board. Maybe next time just ignore the posts that offend you. ;)

Ed....I personally did not see an offensive post directed to you either BUT I am not on here everyday. I am very curious as to what happened though. If you don't mind would you PM me the place where this conversation took place.

LOL. Yeah, I know what you mean there with correcting people.

I've been here since the month after it started I think. I don't know how I missed that one. Wish I could have been a mod. ): Oh well. I personally haven't been seeing anything offensive, so I guess you guys are doing a pretty good job.

Beaglemaster, MrPetlovers come on whenever he gets the chance to, but if you really want to become a moderator maybe you can PM him. We didn't have any moderators here before but then a lot of people came and started posting rude/obscene/insulting, etc stuff on the boards. So MrPetlovers asked the members if they were interested in becoming a moderator, to send him a PM. I guess the moderators we have now are the only ones that sent MrP a PM so they were made into the moderators of the boards.

Shockadine: MrPetlovers posted a message to all the members back at the beginning of the summer asking who wanted to become a moderator. He asked that the people who were interested to send him a PM. If you're still interested, maybe you can send MrP a PM and ask if he can make you a moderator.

Beaglemaster,

Unfortunately, you have provided no good reason why you want to be a Moderator. "Just because you want to be one" is not, in my opinion, a good qualifier for a Moderator.

You have made a 49 posts; our existing moderators have made over 1,000 posts, some more than 2,000 posts, and they are extremely active within the PetLovers.Com community.

While we are not currently adding any moderators, (because we have enough), if provide a clear explanation as to why you feel you should be made a Moderator even with your limited time and experience in posting within PetLovers.Com, we'll be happy to consider you for a Moderator position if and when we decide the site is in need of more Moderators.

Best wishes,
~~MP

This is a really old thread, from 8/2004 - so I'm going to close it since it's no longer relevant.
