Wow. I don't remember them being so tiny, what a treasure. He almost looks like the gremlins, you know, when they were cute, before they ate something. I think you cat is gorgeous, and the fur is so shiny!

she's not weird or anything lol she's just a climber lol

Nani's Dad, it really depends on the glider and the person. IMHO they are not hard to take care of, if you dont mind nocturnal animals...

Buster,
what? They are small flying squirrel like creatures with a pouch much like a kangaroo for holding there babies in. They can glide up to a half a foot ball field, and live ona diet of fresh fruits, vegies, and some kind of protein such as eggs, meal worms, crickets or grasshoppers. it's fun to watch them eat grasshoppers lol. they also eat yogurt and other things such as *chuckles* tacos.

where? they originally come from Australia tha land of marsupials.
it is illegal to import Sugar Gliders now from Australia and one would have to buy them from a breeder. many reputable breeders ship gliders using airlines; usually continental airlines, to your nesrest airport. One would need to be careful though; there are many, many bad breeders under the guise of being good. ForTheGoodOfTheGlider.com has a breeder database where they post if breeders are bad or good.

when? um...they live up to 15 years in captivity, did that answer that question, lol

Does it just "glide" around your house? Does it stay in a cage..is it litterbox trained, is it like a bat or a bird or a gerbil? Sorry... I just have never seen such a thing and it really is so cute. I bet your cat finds him interesting! Tell me more!!!

Yes, please, tell us more! How did you ever get turned onto them in the first place? And you said "one of your gliders", how many do you have? I would love to see more pics and hear all about them!

LOL, ah i could go on and on about my Gliders all day long. i saw my first Glider in a pet store about 4 years ago, and fell in love with those eyes and little hands from then on. bought 2 and drive to Illinois (10 hours one way) to get them. Paid $550 for both of thm w/ cage and accessories!!
I have rescued gliders for about 3 years, but recently stopped to form a breeding program of two colors: white face blonde and white tip. i am working with our local zoo.
They usually just hope and jump around, not glide...they dont have good aim so I honestly think they prefer jumping over gliding lol.

Here are a few more pics...most taken last night actually...
you'll see different shades of gliders...the dark brownish one in the blue cabana is what is referred to as a "buttercream" the rest are mainly of my 2 white faced blondes Zelda and Poe, but there is also a pic of oliver a white tip.
