Our baby cat Sierra just got diagnosed with Primary Open Angle Glaucoma. The treatment requires eye drops 3 times a day. The eye drops are a human medication and we pick them up at any pharmacy. After researching the medication we see that the drops can initially sting the eyes. My wife feels terrible but knows it is necessary as glaucoma can be very painful.
Our problem is, I travel for my job and she is having difficulty holding the cat down to administer the eye drops.
Any suggestions?

Ive always found it easiest to hold the cat in a way its comfortable, then bring the dropper to the eye from above the head (from the ears down) so it doesnt see the dropper before hand.

Oh my....I can imagine the delima you are facing. My cat is 12 and I think she would fight me tooth and toenail to get away from eye drops....My best suggestion is to have 1 or possibly 2 of her friends/family to help her. Is this something that is going to be on going like a prevention med. or is it short term to clear up a problem that stemmed from the glaucoma? Good luck to you and keep us posted
