my splay legged english budgie could use some good vibes :(

He's been 100% mobile for a while now since he learned to use his legs and climb the side of the cage but there has been a major setback.

When I came home tonite he was on the bottom of the cage making an awful noise. I guess he was climbing and lost his footing. I don't know, I can only guess, but one of his legs is broken.

He's splinted and his body is wrapped so he is not mobile at all.

The leg still has circulation but he doesnt seem to have any use of his foot at all.

I can't believe this happened. I'm sick over it.

Definitly a special needs baby you got there. I hope he gets well. Did you take him to the vet for the splinting or did you do it yourself? I've never had one of my birds break anything so I'm not sure how to care for them like that. Sendin good vibes his way..
