help please!

hi i was checking to see if my budgie eggs were fertile and i accidentally dropped one...

what should i do?

some liquid oozed out i wiped it and placed it back into the nest..(they are due soon)

my sister said that eggshells heal...is that true?

i feel really bad...(i think i murder it.. ='( )

No the eggshell will not heal. It would be best to throw away the egg or bury it because bacteria will get into it and kill the chick if there is one and also can contaminate the other eggs. Don't feel too bad, this happens. You can check to see if their is a chick inside. There shouldn't be very much fluid if they are due soon and is fertile. Also the chick would be taking up the whole egg if fertile and due to hatch soon.
