I have 2 retriever/huskys. I'm going back to teach tomorrow and I need things to keep them busy during the day.
I did have towels in their crates and they wripped them up. I leave the girls in the kitchen with their crates open.(kitchen is 10ftx12ft with a door that blocks them from the rest of the house)They are 60 lbs each so I think they are too busy to lock up in crates
Would you leave water in the kitchen?? (from 7:30-3:30) I have been but I was wondering if maybe I shouldn't and just take it out when I get home???

I think you should definately leave water out for them. Have you tried stuffing kongs with peanut butter or a favorite treat, freezing them and leaving them out for the dogs to play with? It often keeps them busy for hours at a time, trying to lick their frozen treat out of the kong.

My dogs love those huge smoked hog ears, they are as big as dinner plates and it keep them busy gnawing for a long time:) I bought them for about $1 at PetSmart.

I guess it may depend on the size of your dog, but my rather small dog loves things called Dingo Bones (Dingo is a brand). They are normal rawhide bones, but have chicken "jerky" underneath all the folds of the rawhide, so she will chew and chew until she gets to the jerky part and she LOVES it. She's very picky - she wanted nothing to do with a kong unfortuantely.
