Hi folks, quick wee question about my Betta. A few afternoons ago I was watching him swimming around & his body was a pale, almost pink colour, rather than the normal blue. When I woke up the following morning he was back to blue again. He's making bubbles nests etc. so I know he's content but I wondered why the colour change? :confused:
Interesting! I have no idea, none of mine changed colour before...okay that's a lie, Monarch had white fins and they slowly turned a dark, blood-red purple, if that makes sense.
Maybe something to do with temperature?

I don't know either Lisa....when my changed colors it was dead .....*frown*
Yours seems to be happy and obviously not belly up...so maybe it was temp. related....maybe somebody will help you that really knows something (hehehe)

I wonder if something had stressed him out on that day? A temperature change, or tank disturbance maybe.
Maybe he's just stressed out cuz of that crazy mother of his...just a suggestion....

A drop in temperature will definitely make them go pale.

Don't know what happened to make your betta change colors. I've had male bettas in the past & never had that happen. My daughter & I currently own a female betta named Susie. Its supposed to be my 11 yr olds fish, but it lives in the living room, & I end up doing the water changes & sometimes she feeds it. The reason I don't have Susie living in Sabrina's room is 'cause it get too cold in the winter. The tank is a 1 gallon & has no heater.
