My goldfish has one eye thats really cloudy, like hes blind. My cousins goldfish got the same thing before it died but they died right after they got it and goldy (my fish) has had it for a while. Is he just blind in one eye??
btw- Goldy is older, about 6 or 7 yrs

I don't know a whole lot about fish, but I would say he has some kind of infection. He could be blind, but I would ask your local pet store. A lot of places like Petco/Petsmart will do free water testing. If you don't have the supplies to do it yourself, take them a cup or so of your fish tank water, and they will test it for you.

Poor goldie. Looks like infection to me. Have you check the water quality to make sure that everything is fine? Any chance for the fish to injure itself with sharp edges present in the tank as aquarium decor? Sometimes it could be secondary infection due to the injury suffered.

Well we have this thing we put into the water so it protects them from cutting them selfs on the rocks, How do I check the water supply?? We dont have any of those petstores here, only Pets Unlimited and they dont do water testing :( His eye doesnt seem to bother him, he eats and plays with his friend Jr. (my other goldfish) and his other eye seems fine, maybe hes just blind because hes a bit old???

thats not very old for a goldfish, they actually can live20-30 years in some cases, if given room to grow and clean enough water.. to me it sounds like an amonia issue, what size tank is he in? what kind of goldfish is he? do you have a filter on the tank? do you change your water frequently? how? and.. theres no such thing as something that will make the goldfish not hurt himself, perhaps your talking about stress coat? that helps promote a healthy slime coat, which does protect the fish, but it's not like instand armor or anything. understand that goldfish can get quite large, for two goldfish i'd say the minimum tank you should have is a 40 gallon, but understand they will outgrow that! goldfish are very very messy, they need 2x the filtration unless you are religious about your weekly water changes, (for example, if you have a 10 gallon tank, youll need a filter rated for atleast 20 gallons) also make sure your not overfeeding, it could be a bacteria or fungus growing on the fish due to rotting food on the bottom, or messy water. even if your fish shop does not test water, they will sell test strips so you can test them yourself, even if they dont have it there, you can find it at walmart usually. you want to test your amonia, if it is too high, you;ll need to do 50% water changes daily until it is back down to normal.. and then you;ll need some meds to clear up the fungus/bacteria infection if that is what it is.

you change your tank water weekly?
I'd be out of fish if I tried that.
