Iv had baby red eared turtles for about a month in my 10 gall aquarium with a marble angel fish ,redtail shark , and a betta. They all been geting along no fights no sickness no nothing but the 2 turtles bother the my ram horn snail they dont seem to do any damage to him. I dont know if there playing with him or trying to eat him i dont want him gettin eating cuz he cost me $5 and hes a nice pet. Other then that everything in the tank is getting along with each other. And the Turles dont bother with the fish. I forgot i also got a common pleco in the tank about 4 or 5 inches long. I know im not supposed to keep all these fish together but they all gotten along and the waters always crystal clear becouse i got a Cascade power filter 150 and i use cycle by nutrafina to keep amoinia down and waste. the fish have been together for a least 6months now the turtle have been in there for about a month.

If you are not supposed to keep them all together, then why do you? Perhaps you should seperate them if they appear to be fighting.

Don't turtles eat bugs, fish, and snails out in the wild? Is there a place in your tank for your turtles to rest and get out of the water? I am just wondering because I don't see anything like that in your pics and any turtle habitat I have seen has a place for them to sit and dry off for a bit.

Yes there is a ledge for the turtles in the corner of the tank and u can see a lilbit of it in the 3rd picture. Im also using a full spectrum flurensent bulb for them.

Hey iv been paying close attension to the turtles and snail and i dont think it the turtles chipping the snail shell. it may be a vitamin defincie or something is there anything i should add to the water to help the snail. i feed him spirulina discs same as my pleco eats but i dont think hes geting enought nutrients from it.
Turtles will eat snails.
I have eight turtles of my own and have learned the hard way! ;)
Your "turtles" shouldn't be in such deep water, and anyway they are TERRAPINS not TURTLES!

Turtles eat meat therefore will most definitaly eat the snails. I thought at one time I could put huge snails in with my oscars, they became escargo real quick. They were actually sucked right out of the shell! I would suggest setting up another tank for the snails just to be on the safe side.

As soon as the turtles get a little bigger you can say BYE-BYE to all those fish. I can't tell but in the pic of your Angel it looks like the fins are fraded. If they are your turtles are eating them slowly. Also the turtles put off diseases and that too will kill your fish. If I was you I would get another tank for your turtles. As for the fish they are all ok together. I put polly-wogs in with my turtle and they were bigger than the turtles head so I thought they would be fine...Well I was wrong the turtle ate the tails first until they were all gone. It took him 3 days to eat one.

well i guess everyone already told you but yes turtles are carnivouous. I know you meant well, but it is best to keep turtles seperate from other species. They are communal in nature and seem to enjoy other turtles but they end up eating anything else that moves. It would also be wise to try to feed them specific turtle food so the meat tendancies fade away.

((do you have a basking spot for your turtles?)) i was just wondering........because i don't see any by the pictures....they need to bask. because they are semi-aquatic.
