I'm an avid reader. I'll spend several hours at the library just scanning the shelves and grabbing books that catch my eye. My opinion is, if it catches my eye, it must be worth reading. Very rarely do I actually walk into the library with the intent to check out a specific book.

My most recent visit I was just looking for cookbooks and maybe one reading book. I ended up grabbing Redwall, some book about an explorer who's been tagged "a real life Indiana Jones" and a book about this cat named Dewey, a library cat in Spencer, Iowa.

I'm 55 pages in and hooked. The book is 277 pages long and, obviously, tells the story of a rescued alley cat dubbed Dewey. It is non-fiction, a genre I usually find especially difficult to read but this is written absolutely amazingly and even in the first few chapters, it's not hard to realize Dewey's charm and amazing character.

I'd recommend everyone, cat-lover or not, read this book. It's all too amazing to pass up.
