i think my fishes are dying;

so i have these two gold fan tailed fish (i think they're fan tailed fish ._.).
I've had them for several day's and noticed that
they've constantly been swimming up to the surface
and gulping water (air, i don't know >.<) i don't really
know what they're doing, or why.. i need answer's, please!

do you have an air pump in the tank?? goldfish need to have air pumped into the tank so they will not have to come to the surface for air and possibly swallow too much air and obtain a swim bladder infection.
