View Full Version : Question about my snakeeeee
ZOMBIEEEES

A friend of mine couldn't take care of her snake anymore, so she gave him to me. I've had him for about a month and a half, and this is the first time he's shed since I've had him. He shed about halfway, and it hasn't all come off in one piece. I know you can soak them, but is it ok if I pick him up while he's shedding? And what are a few ways to increase the humidity in the tank? I have a heat lamp and a heat pad on the underneath of the tank, and I know you can put a dish of water on the spot where the heat pad is to increase it. Unfortunately, he's pretty comfortable there right now and I don't want to move him. I've been misting him with warm water also.

I don't know much about snakes but my friends neighbor has one that shed recently.
They bought some Spaughnam moss and got it damp enough that if you squeezed it some water would drip from it, but not so much that it will drip if nothing is touching it. Also I'm sure you already do but make sure theres some sort of rough surface in there that it can drag itself along to help pull the shedding skin down.
Some expert should be here to help soon. Sorry I couldn't help much.
