I love how he is laying in your hand like that Judy! How sweet.
Einny snuggles in our hands and we can turn our hand with him in our hand but not like Louie.
Elizabeth & Louie look so sweet together.

Yep...Louie is mine. I got him as a baby at 10 weeks old and he is about 5 now. He is a funny guy too..very entertaining! He talks rather well and just fun to play with.

Aww...he's handsome. I was going to ask how many birds you have, but I see 3 in your signature. Is Spanky a parakeet? ...I always thought you had to keep those in pairs? I could be wrong...never had a bird in my life other than wild one's to care for until the rehabber took hold of them.

Yep, I have 3 and Spanky is a Blue Quaker....very talkative and a bit ornery lol....
Parakeets do well on their own if you interact with them daily....otherwise a friend is indeed a good idea. I will post a thread about Spanky when I update some pictures and Pepper too

I have only one that will allow me to do anything even close to that! What a trusting bird Louie is. The little conures are so cute, little dynamo's is what they are.

I cant say it enough- Louie is beautiful!:D I love birds and would love to own one. I kept parakeets and cockatiels when I was a kid, but I've always wanted a large, talking bird. Someday....
