What a doll baby she is. I love the dark spots on her forelegs..like freckles. Will those markings remain as she matures?
Nice mountains in the backround too. Good photos.

She sure is a pretty wee puppy, getting big and bad I'm sure though. :) Is she showing any interest in the disc? I wonder if she'll have the love for it and soccer that Keeper does. :)

Thanks guys. She just gets cuter everyday. We've made a lot of headway with her, although I am starting to notice some things that could potentially be seperation anxiety. It is just so flippin hard to work with certain issues in the unit we live in. Like, we can't let her out of her cage and bring her directly outside and ignore her till she calms down. Sure, she runs right to the pad (UGH i hate using them, hate hate hate! but what choice do we have right now? Aside from sidewalks being COATED in dog poop - seriously, its HORRIBLE - it'd be a mad dash several times a day to get the dog outside in time), but its impossible to ignore her because we HAVE to kind of coax her onto the "potty" area.
But headway is being made as I said. Aside from hating being in her crate unless she is thoroughly exhausted, she is prompt on the two commands we've taught her (Sit and Down, or Lay, but we can't say lay cause thats her nickname so we say Lay, Down!) and the accidents have gone from 10 a day to maybe 2. There have even been days without accidents. She's aslo "sleeping" in the bed. Not at night. But if she's out and tired she'll hop up and take a nap. So far no more peeing on the bed. So far...
Lisa - she is DEFINITELY going to be a disc dog. We've already got her jumping up to grab it (she can't catch it but if we hold it out she'll jump to get it on command or sit and wait for command). and she'll chase a disc to hell and back. We need to work on recall though. She'll get it, but because she's afraid the other dogs will steal it from her (we have them sit on the bed during special layla training time) she runs under a chair to chew it. We'll get there. She seems such a natural part of our family that we forget its only been three months. How time flies.
And special - the markings are appearing the older she gets. She had pure white legs with perhaps a single freckle when she was born. In the past three months her body has become coated, I believe they're nicknamed cattle ticks, but don't quote me. Her mom has a few and I dont think her dad has that many. Her nose is covered in them so much that it's turning gray (not old gray but a dark gray). When she was born her muzzle was white, the older she gets, the more ticks appear. By thet ime shes full gorwn she'll probably be all black! (i jest).

I will say one of the strangest things about her? She never REALLY went through the overly rolly fluffy puppy phase. She had a tight round little belly until about 2 months and then her body just kind of turned into "small dog." She has a well defined waist and her front is more muscle than fat! Actually the dog is covered in muscle with almost no fat. We feed her three times daily and she's growing at a healthy rate, she just has always looks like a little dog vs a puppy.
The cattle tick markings are just part of the border collie breed and it's fairly common :)Rio has been getting more and more, there's lots on her nose now ;)
Layla, I can't believe how big she's getting! And so trim and pretty!

I know. She eats like a 14 year old boy and she IS gaining weight, the scale is proof, but shes growing up not out. I mean its a good thing. I dont want an overweight dog, its just really odd. That she isn't going through that rolly puppy phase. I guess it'se just her breed (she's part McNab).
Meh, maybe some pups miss it? And maybe it already happened, it was just too fast for you to notice! Lol, who knows :p
You should see Kye and Rio, they're just little balls of muscle. You can't see Rio's so much cuz she's got so much hair, but Kye looks like a rippling muscle machine!
What does she weigh now?

Izzie too... What I've found is most raw puppies don't go through the chubby stage. They seem to grow more evenly.

Makes sense, though.
