Well Roxy has a little tiny bit of brown in between her toes, and a small white patch on her chest :D

I don't know if you've ever seen Roxy, but this is her, my baby! She is a pure bred GSD. :)

My jaw dropped when i seen Ollie's pics, i had never seen another GSD that looked so similar to Roxy!

OMG... they do look just alike.. Ollie also has tan between his toes and a very little white star on his chest.

he also has some brown specks on the backside of his legs,,, which didn't come up til after he was 6 mths old. at first i thought it was mud,,,lol.. looks like "gold dust"..

Sunny is the female we are looking at to rescue from the shelter since we miss Sadie so much (that past away in April - not sure if you followed that thread, she was 1 1 /2 and passed due to an enlarged heart, that we did not know about,,,,so devastated),,,

ollie has been sad without his sister.. so i'm thinking about getting him another buddy, hopefully it will be sunny,,, i would love to have another GS, but if it doesn't work out, we will find something that does..

OMG you just described Roxy perfectly!

She also has a little bit of tan on the backside of her legs, and it didn't show up until she was 2 years old. And you're right, it does look like gold dust, it seems like it just on the tip of her fur, like it was brushed on there!

LOL i thought it was dirt too the first time i noticed it!!

I'll have to get some pics of the tan on her paws and the white spot on her chest so we can compare just how much they look alike! LOL

So i guess Ollie and Roxy can be PetLover's long lost twins! LOL

his white spot on his chest is only a few hairs..
other than that, the tan between his toes and the specks on the back of his legs, he is all black,,, sometimes hard to get a good picture of him because you can never see his eyes.. lol

petlovers long lost twins sounds good to me...

how old is she now? he will be 2 in August. He was the runt of the liter..

She is 5 years old.

her white spot on her chest is about the size of a nickel.

She does have 1 stray white hair on her back, which is kinda funny looking, only that 1 hair, and if it gets pulled out (i pulled it out before cuz i thought it looked ridiculous, i know, Bad Marie) it grows back white. But only that ONE hair. LOL

She has always been, and will always be small, she weighs a little less than 60 pounds (the vet did say she should gain about 5-10 pounds, but im having a hard time getting her to gain it). I can't say if she was the runt of the litter, i got her when she was 1 yr old. LOL

This is just too funny, i've seen you lots around the boards, but never knew you had a male version of Roxy! LOL

to funny,,, didn't think of it until you mentioned it, but ollie has a few white hairs here and there like you said, one or two on his back.. i've never pulled them out, but have noticed them,, hahah,,, his mama was a white shepherd..

yea, i have seen you too, but didn't realize roxy was a blk GSD either..

ollie is about 70lbs and is almost 2 years old. Sadie was already 90lbs at 1 1/2. the vet told me that ollie would feel out more after he was 2, he has started feeling out. sadie was always a good 10-20lbs heavier than ollie from day one. but like i said, he was the runt and so tiny,,, so cute.. but he RUNS so fast and can jump about 5 ft in the air.. he is a very good boy..

i love them both dearly, and just wish that Sadie was still with us.. I know i carry on about sadie, but it's just because i miss her,, and still have ollie, if it was the other way around, i would be the same,,, i didn't love one more than the other, just different bonds and that i just miss her sooo much, me and ollie both do.. she was pretty much the "leader", so he is kind of lost without her and looks for my guidance.. why i think he needs another buddy, so he isn't so focused on me,,, i want him to be able to enjoy his life and have fun, with another buddy..

It's normal for you to miss Sadie, and no one here on PL is ever going to tell you to stop talking about her, we all understand what its like to lose a pet, a best friend.

I think a buddy would be good for Ollie too, but take your time in choosing.

i do hope Sunny works out to be the perfect match for you guys, but if not, the perfect match is out there.

Maybe let Ollie pick him/her out. :p

Impressive. He's a lovely boy. I'd love to see some better photos though.
