Love it! She's so gorgeous.
I love how american you guys are. :D I know that sounds stupid, but when I read your posts I read it how I speak, you know?
Wow though, she is gonna be one fantastic dog! You got plans for competing her in the future?

Layla looks like she is having so much fun! Her mom looks like she is really having to restrain herself from jumping in and joining the fun. Very cute video.

Poor Keeper!! She was desperate to join in :( You meanies :p Layla's looking really good though. I wish Pand would chase a frisbee. Maybe he just needs a mini pink one too ;)

HAHA, I wish I had an accent Heather.
I know, Em, we are horrible mean parents haha. But Keeper is just so toy obsessed that were doing it for a few reasons.
a) We want her to learn to be around another dog playing without rushing the animal and stealing the toy
b) we need her to learn to be calm and quiet at disc competitions
c) Layla never gets to play because the other two jump in and steal the toys so the only way to get some time in with Layla is to make her sit on the bed. Fred was probably laying on the couch which is why Layla disappeared for a second. She loves her step-daddy.
And yea, as soon as she has all her shots we'll take her outside to really start training her. A thought we would make her a herding dog but this dog will fly 3 feet off a bed to get a Frisbee out of another dogs mouth, so I said this clearly means she is meant to do disc.

Oh I know what you mean about stealing toys... I have to shut Panda out of the room when I wanna do anything with Vernon. Even if we just want a cuddle, Panda has to stick his nose in and start biting us both... Reet pain in the behind.
Did Layla naturally want the frisbee? Panda just has no interest in it at all, but will happily chase a stick and bring it back.

Yea, she sort of showed interest right away. Anything that is bright and moves she shows interest in, including my toes.
If you want him to get interested in it, a good way to start is by feeding him out of a disc. They start to associate it with something they really want.
We buy Hero Discs (http://www.herodiscusa.com/hero-super-sonic.html)
Its a US company but they are REALLY REALLY durable and you can get misprints for a really good price. You want to buy a good disc cause a cheap one will rip really easily and can cut the dogs mouth.
When you want to start "playing" with it? Roll it on the ground, don't actually throw it, like a ball or stick or something. I thnk I was told Red is the easiest color for dogs to see so I would get a Red disc.
Once you get Pandy chasing after it you can start with very very very short flips. Have him sit in front of you and hold the disc in your left hand (right if you are left handed) and kind of pop it with your other hand so it flips up. When Pandy can catch it that way with ease start with very short tosses. Like a foot or two. And then just keep working from there.

I don't really care if he catches it or not. In fact, I don't think he'd ever catch it, he can't run very fast 'cos of his stubby wonky legs, or jump at all... But I just want him to fetch it! I'll look into buying a red one. And a little one. I just have my frisbee, not a dog one.

Does he have a soft bite? If he doesn't like catching harder things in the air, go for one of those wobbly discs. He may be able to catch that. And don't hold his wubbly little legs against him! We've watched really little dogs and corgis compete. He may be a star :D lol

He doesn't catch anything in the air. He doesn't catch. Unless it's food... :D
