Dexter's moved to a new house!

Dexter's new house (http://www.retret.net:8000/june_2003b_dexter.htm) , I had to disturb him for couple minutes tonight for this pic, he does'nt seem to mind. I purchased the cage from kings cages adn I was really impressed about the workmanship but the cage weigh 275 lbs, took me almost 2 hours to assemble it..hope you like it.

yes, this one is 6 ft tall and 4 more inches wider than the old one..

What a nice home for Dexter! From what I've read the Kings Cages seem very nice. Is Dexter's stainless steal or powder-coated? I also really like the perch you made for him- I'm sure he's loving it!

jsimko, yes its very easy to clean with just plain water, I just clean it everyday, most dropping doesnt fall in there anyway maybe one or two but not more, Dexter mostly go poop right after I pick him up..

Birdgirl, I gave the old cage to my niece when I went to virginia, she is getting a Timney in a month..

I was asking because most parrot owners just put there old cages in a back room and never use them again and there are so many places that need them(zoos, rescues ect.)
is your niece goping to join parrot.com?? if not tell her good luck on the timneh for me

Birdgirl, my niece is only 8 yrs old, my brother probably will be the primary care taker, my brother probably join and post some pic, I dont know if my niece is allowed to go to chat rooms though..

speaking as a kid I think it's great that kids get to have birds too I think it teaches them about caring for living things and gives them some one to talk to and play with when theres no one else there and timnehs are such great birds
