Lily my dog had this Cyst for probably like a year.
I noticed it getting bigger gradually but few weeks ago when she got her parvo shot it almost grew twice its size but few days later it went back to its normal size. Last weekend I had to go to Denver to attend a graduation so I left lily with my bf's care. When I came back her cyst actually shrink to half of its normal size. My bf jokes around saying it went down bc cyst is fat and since lily was so active past weekend with him it went down.
Can this be true? Bc if it is I feel really bad about it. :o

this sounds like a sebaceous cist. nothings you can do about it and its harmless depending on were it is.
my dog had one and vet said not to worry unless it gets bigger than a ping pong ball, or moves to an area with glands, eg on tail glands
its when the hair folicule blocks for some reason, and if it fixes itself this is fine.
its not your fault or your bf`s! your doing fine lol

Yes they can grow. Fred has a fatty tissue deposit that grew when he gained weight and went down when he lost it.
I've had it tested though and know its just fat. Have you had the cyst tested? Just to be on the safe side?

My cat had a small cyst on her hip for several years. Vet said "just watch it". Suddenly it began to grow, so I had it removed. It was lymphoma (cancer)
I advise you to make an appointment with your vet and have it looked at. Even if it's nothing now, it's better to have it in her medical records. And your vet will know more about what it is.
Have the vet measure it and record the size of it.

I agree with special, please get it tested. There are so many possibilities with growths/cysts/deposits. Max had benign growths (like skin tags or warts) which were removed only when they became irritated. However, even "fatty deposits" described as benign can cause a multitude of other problems. Sage, my "nephew" doggy, has one that cannot be removed because it is entangled in spinal nerves and will most likely contribute to a shortened life.
Please let us know what's up with little Lily's cyst.

Thanks for your concerns.
Cyst is still in half its normal size right now.
No changes in her appetite or I dont notice any loss of energy and etc., Just little bit cranky due to sending her to petco to get groomed. Other than that shes fine.
I will get it checked it on next doctors visit. Probably in couple months or so.
Will keep you all up to date.
Thanks :)

It actually grow to about one and a half of its size and went back to half its size. Its so weird. (normal size is little pea size) I already took lily long time ago when I felt it on her. And Vet has it on the record already. Yeah they told me the same thing just keep an eye on it and i can either get it removed or get it tested late on.
