Fish questions

I have a 50g (47 approx.) "tall" tank. Not too long ago we lost our fish because of some bad water. Currently we're debating on starting an angelfish community setup and we'd like to know which fish some of you think would work best? Some suggestions I've read about are; black phantom tetras, rummynose tetras etc.

If this doesn't pan out, we may try a gourami community.

usually tetras of all sorts do well with angels.. as do mollies, platys, and swordtails.. angels are beautiful fish! just make sure to not get anything nippy that will tear up your angels fins.. no bettas, no cichlids ect.

Agreed. Am thinking of having a few rasboras/tetras, maybe a couple of loaches even.

Rainbowfish and gouramis add color. Loaches are good bottom feeders with angels that will control the unwanted snail population if you use live plants.
