1. Thoroughly clean toilet. 2. Add the required amout of shampoo to toilet water, lift both lids. 3. Obtain the cat and soothe him while you carry him to the bathroom. 4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. (you may need to stand on top so he can't escape) CAUTION: Do not put any part of your body close to the cat, as his paws will be reaching for anything he can find. 5.Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power wash and rinse" which i have found to be quite effective. 6. Have someone open the back door and ensure that there are no people between toilet and garden. 7. Stand behind toilet as much as you can and lift both lids quickly. 8. the freshly cleaned cat will rocket out of the toilet and run outside, where he will dry himself off. Sincerely, THE DOG

That's hilarious. Poor Cat..... Don't you just love animals!!!!!!! I have absolutely no doubt that a dog would actually do that if it could. I wonder if my cat would find this method of washing acceptable?!!! I have only tried washing once to date, as ended up with many, many scratches on arms, and she didn't talk to me for a whole week. :D

Dear Starr:
When my cat was only a kitten, she was fascinated by the splash of water. So much so that she jumped in the tub every time I took a shower. Then I'd dry her with a towel followed by a hair blower. She was in Heaven back then.
Now you almost have to tie her up to brush her fur. Your suggestions will come in quite handy, for some of them are so simple it's no wonder people don't even think about them most of the time. Thanks!

I got a good laugh at this bath joke. It's a good thing I don't have a dog or my cat DAVID might have had a bath long ago!!! He was at the groomers last Wednesday and got the full works. Bath, flea dip, haircut, cleaner ears and nail trim.
Years ago another cat that I had was sitting on the edge of the bathtub watching me take a bath. Just as I got out he slipped and fell in the water. I swear that cat was running around the sides of the bath tub and kept falling back into it... If he had fallen in a moment earlier while I was still in the tub I'd have been torn to shreds!!!!
