Hey everyone!I have another post in the introduction section that explains what I have been going thru with my dog Bear.(need help with hip displaysha)
I just wanted to know if anyone has come up with a good way to lift thier dog up to help them walk.
I have tried towels, jeans cut in half...today I sliced up my yoga mat!
I think that Bear can walk as he is showing a full range of motion.I think because he hasnt been up on his feet since Easter sunday, he has lost a lot of strength.
I bought a sling for him from Foster and Smith but it wont be here for a few days.Need to get him some strength back.
Let me hear your ideas!:D

I was going to suggest a sling made for dogs. I'm glad you've found one. I've seen some that are like vests with handles. They go over the dogs body, and you help them by way of a handle on top of the vest.

Poor guy, he's bound to have lost a little strength with being so out of it. With you there to take him nice and slowly and give him the support and patience he needs, I'm sure he'll slowly but surely start to get that strength back.

In the meantime, while waiting for your sling to arrive, how about using a bedsheet for his back end, and a regular chest harness for his front?

I absolutely have to go back to work next week.:(
I feel bad, I will only be at work from 8-2 because I cant leave him all day like that.I have to make some money!
I do have a harness for his front end but is just made of nylon.I put a tshirt on him but I think that hurts him.I been using a towel for the back but I think it hurts his dingy!haha!
