Foxxy is 3 months and she is barking out of control. I am crate training her and she whines, moans, and barks. She is a puppy she will do this, but my question is are there tools you can use or methods you can use to break that. I'm sure someone has dealt with this before.

Well there are a few things you can do. Plenty of exercise is a good start....I'm not sure if you're exercising her, but a puppy who plays a lot will be more tired...in turn probably not as vocal. Trust me I have one of the most vocal German Shepherd puppies, who has become very quiet in his crate now. With him we go places, do things, play, train, ect, come home, cool off inside for a little, and then he eats in his crate after he has cooled off...doing this over and over he has come to really like his crate. It's a place to eat/relax after a long day. I do have a question, is the barking just in her crate? Does she even like her crate yet? Always remember, completely ignore the whining in the crate. You can do things like, only letting her out once she is quiet. Don't let her lunge out of the crate either. With Buck my Husky pup who is almost 4 months, I get on his level, stick my arm across the front of the crate while it's door is open, once he lies down and fully relaxes, I tell him to come on out. I've done this with him at the door also using body blocking. He tries to move forward so I counter his move....if he moves forward and to his right, I move forward and to my left to block....he backs up and sits. Things like this have helped all of my dogs come in and go out of the crates or outside more calmly. None of my dogs whine in their crates anymore. If it's not meal time and you want her in her crate, things to chew on like stuffed kongs, the ever lasting treat ball, or certain bones you can buy are good to help with their boredom in the crate. I do want to know about whether she likes her crate and how much play time/exercise she gets before I keep going though.

Husky gave great advice. It's very important to not give in to her crying. Make sure she's pottied before crating her, and if she howls, ignore her. Sometimes a blanket tossed over the crate will quiet her.
I also make the crates a good place to be. I'll feed my pup in an open door crate. She goes into it freely to eat. I also will toss her toys in when she's out playing. This retrieve game is fun, and they learn the crate can be fun too.
both my girls were so pooped last night, they went in to their crates without a fuss, without me even asking, and didn't make any sort of deal that they were in there.
they're still new, see, so sometimes it's hard to get settled down to bed when they're crated next to eachother..
the above posters gave great advice and i have nothing to add, other than the fact that i love them being good in their crates. it's definitely something worth sticking with, because you'll appreciate all your hard work in the end.
there are many good sites on the internet as well that show you step-by-step how to successfully introduce the crate to your dog and make him want to be in there.

Hi Foxxy Trot.
You can try using Rescue Remedy with your maltipoo. I am not too familiar with the breed(not sure if it is a barking mix) but it should help calm her down.

Good luck and let us know how it goes :)
