One of my dogs is a beautiful, adorable, energetic and loving long-haired chihuahua, I don't remember her exact date of birth but she's gotta be over a year old now, still young, not anywhere near old age. Her name is Fluffy Baby.

I haven't seen it myself yet but my room mate says she cries out in pain for seemingly no reason from time to time, and she has accidents that she doesn't notice, usually she is just laying there happily on the bed with us and pees without noticing it whatsoever. After telling my Grandma about this, she suggested maybe there is something wrong with her kidneys, but we can't afford any trips to the vet, it's been a really hard year so far and we're struggling to get by from month to month enough as it is already.

So to recap, she randomly cries out in pain every so often and has accidents. Additional info, she might be slightly inbred, but not too severely, I just don't remember who all her relatives are. She is not spayed. I have not noticed any changes in her personality, she is very loving and energetic.

Can anyone tell me anything? I'm really worried.

This sounds to me like a Urinary Tract Infection. It can be fairly inexpensive to treat-a round of medication or two-but you need to get your baby to a vet ASAP!

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll see what I can do about getting her in to the vet, but we're completely broke right now. Maybe after the 1st.

Aside from a UTI, she may also just have urinary incontinence. Especially since she is not aware that she's peeing. There's a medication for this that is super cheap and works wonderfully.

She really does need to see a vet, UTI's are VERY painful. I've got one now... :( Some people will tell you that because she isn't spayed, she's more apt to get UTI's...so you may want to look into saving up to have her spayed as well. It does more good than bad for her and you.
