So you guys remember me posting manky photos of a dog who's bottom lip had been ripped off and stitched back on, yeah?
(link:http://forums.petlovers.com/vb/showthread.php?t=38654) warning, do not click if you don't wanna see it!!
Anyway, him in the photos, the other black dog and the b!tch all went back to their owners, we couldn't prove it was badger baiting, there was no case...
But, for some reason, not that I'm complaining... The last one, Rambo, was signed over today :D :D :D So he's looking for a new home!
Just thought I'd show him off, 'cos he's a stunner, and is a bull greyhound, just like Nern, although slighty more bull ;)

These were taken when he came in, fresh from the Vets.

Can you see the resemblance to Nern?
I'll get some new photos tomorrow if I remember.

I doo, he's mint :D But can't. I don't want dogs, and he wouldn't fit in anyway.

I forgot to post these photos...
You can see how scarred his face is, and under his muzzle. Guess it's from the badgers fighting back.

Poor wee lad....is baiting a problem in your area? Is he as bully (big) as he looks?

Not really round here, that I know of. But I am in the middle of a city!
He's a stocky lad, solid muscle, but not tall. Smaller than a greyhound, height wise. Big lab height, I'd say.

I work out in the country, and there's a lot of times there are people shooting out there. My boss sometimes spots lampers on a night, and there was a badger sett all dug up recently. It's really upsetting. Why do some people get a kick out of treating animals so badly? :(

Heather, several times we've found people lamping on our land and had to ask them to leave. Worse again, I've taken the dogs for a walk through the fields and found a dead fox or rabbit. People shoot onto the land and then leave them there. Is that really sport??? Grr!

That is the sport, the shooting. I understand people shooting animals and then eating it, but I don't see the attraction to just shooting for the sake of killing it

We busted him out today, properly. This is his first walk since he came in, in March...

He looks so much better, and so happy. Bless his heart. Why can't Frank be more like that??? He wasn't treated half as cruelly as this guy was. Live in the moment, Frank, jeez!

Does anyone think he looks fat? He has no tuck up
We got some really odd looks... People pulled their kids away from us, and when a dog ran up, the owner almost pooped herself!
Maybe they think he's a pit!

Probably so. I have found that any dog that even vaguely resembles a pit strikes fear in the heart of a large majority of the population. I have a Boston Terrier puppy that terrifies people every time I take him for a walk, because they think he is a pit. Its quite laughable.

Oh I forgot to tell you. Rambo wasn't signed over by the owner, he was seized by the police, who signed him over, but the owner wants him back, which is why he's not supposed to leave the grounds. So no one tell my boss! ;)

There's no way the owner can legally get him back is it? I sure hope not.

Sorry, I only just saw this. No, he can't come claim him back, but because he's a violent man, we daren't risk sending him out. I'm sure he'd floor someone to get the dog back.
The Inspector has said though, that he can go out in the work van, and go for a walk somewhere away from the centre.
Anyway... Rambo has gone on trial with a lovely couple. They're actually dog walkers, and I asked if they'd take him in the car somewhere today, to get him out for a bit, and they came back and said they were interested :)
So fingers crossed!
