This is Twinkie the Lovebird and he is a sweetie! She got him from a Breeder as a baby because his legs are splayed so although he looks as if he only has 1 leg....the other one is on the cage bars

Haha I love your capture at Twinkie, I almost thought he only one foot. And a green eye behind the cage.

Does Twinkie having splayed legs bother him any? I don't know much about birds so forgive me if this is a dumb question.

Thanks for the pictures Judy! I don't think I've ever seen her birds before. Baby looks incredible. They all do.

Lovely! A fully feathered Goffin, how nice to see. How old is baby? All her birds look great.

Thanks for the compliments...she works hard at running a tight ship at home. She and her husband have 8 children from ages 14 down to 1 and she babysits a couple of kids besides...:34: She cleans her cages at the car wash every 3 months and cleans them at home thoroughly every 3 days:01:
Their cages are cleaner than my house and that is no exaggeration!!!!!!!!!!
The Cockatiels name is "Ollie" he was a baby I raised when I had Cockatiels and he is about 5 years old, sweet as could be. Elizabeth (our 10 year old granddaughter) reserves sole custody of him hahahahahaha

Katiem ......you are too funny.....Twinkie weighs about a pound.....:biglaugh:

Becky....yes...they are beautiful and they get fresh vegetables and fruit on top of Zupreem pellets everyday. Baby is a sweetheart!!!!! She got her when she was 4 months old and he is 5 now. She is a little spoiled too but aren't they all?

Irish_Lass....The splayed legs have never slowed him down as of yet anyway but she keeps things very reachable for him and believe it or not he and Ollie share a big cage and they get along great!!!!!!!

hahahahahaha Wishbone....the green eye is a beach towel with a cartoon character on it..I had not even noticed that :p Twinkie is very attatched to Terri and he loves to ride on top of her head. One day about 7 years ago he was at his usual roosting place and she stepped out to check on the kids, forgetting he was there. aaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!! Of course he flew and she called us and off we went to try and help. They lived in the country and I was so afraid a predator would get him before we found him again. They lived in a 2 story house and he had a ball. He found a sparrow who buddied up with him and all blessed day they flew from the peak of the house to the corn field and back.
Finally about to get dark I guess he got scared and he came down to his cage that Terri had sat out there for him to see and we sat there and called him all day......he came....and took his darn sweet time about it too!!!! She learned a big lesson there!!!!!!!!! No more head rides for him !!!!!!!!

The also have a Chi dog named Ginger and a loveable...heinz 57 (lol) named Charlie..all in the house too.....and a new bunny named "Thumper"
It is a house full of love and well.....kids and pets.....I will have to share pictures of them all someday!

That is hilarious!!! Not the eye part but just the fact that you really fear birds when you work with big dogs etc..... That's ok though......we all have our heeby jeeby pets and mine is more than one.....snakes, spiders and rodents. I highly admire all you members (including you Katiem lol) that have mice, rats etc.... That is my vice....... gives me cold chills thinking about it!
