Not much of an update, but here are some new pics of Anubis. He's getting VERY dark. I've seen recent pictures of a lot of his littermates and none of them are this dark. Most are light sables....at this point. I thought it looked funny so I put that peice of a shirt around his neck like a scarf....looks more like an apron on him lol, but he wore it and he actually seemed to pose for some of the pictures I took. The pics aren't that great since I'm using my moms camera.....I'm not use to it, and mines being repaired right now since it met with the concrete floor a week ago. As of now he is 25 lbs, with large, HARD bones...he ran into me a few times when playing... Here they are....

Oh he's just so darned handsome! I will be getting a German Shepherd when I'm a rich vet. Schultzhund actually looks really interesting to me and i don't think pugs are the idea dog for that! haha! He's got gorgeous colouring too, i just want to hug him!

He looks so happy and playful. I can't recall - were you hoping for the darker colors or did you prefer sable? Sure has grown a bit!

I was hoping for a VERY dark sable, and it looks as if he'll be pretty close.

Tonight when i was at the Humane Society, the Police K-9 unit was training a German Shepherd pup to do some tracking and focus work behind our outdoor kennel runs. He was a dark pup like Anubis is and was very very focused. All the dogs barking and fussing at him didn't phase him one bit, he just kept on his trail and kept going! I was surprised they had a GSD though since they usually use Belgian Malinois or Belgian Groenendaels.
Totally thought of Anubis and Moska when i saw them training the new police doggy!

Hey, I won't be getting that pup anymore. Two females have been reserved from the litter I wanted one from, and I wanted pick.....and I had to consider that theres a chance there wouldn't be more than two females.....shes never been bred before, and they're waiting until she titles in Germany, then they would breed her and send her here...that will be probably 6 months before I'd know anything.....I'm not even going for it. I'm going to co-own a female I had here as a puppy. I would have never sold this female in the first place if I knew as much about training as I do now.....back then. Shes an awesome dog, tons of prey drive, confident, very dominant female, with a wonderful temperament. She'll be coming back here after she gets her BH obedience title and her Schutzhund 1 title. I'm wondering if she'll remember me. I'll attach a couple of pictures of her. One of these pictures is old from when I still had her, so she wasn't as big as she is now. She just turned two. I had one guy tell me he thought her bloodlines weren't that great and I shouldn't be getting her. I disagree, they produce some very nice sport dogs, and her parents have produced dogs who were all capable of Schutzhund and some capable of police work. Some are doing Search and Rescue I think Irene told me. I talked to the different people who owned the dogs in her pedigree and learned as much as I could about them. I think Pam plans to breed Zelda also while shes there, but I'm thinking I'll just continue her training when she comes back down here and go for her other titles.

Heres one from today that Pam sent me to show her build. She's pretty muscular, pretty large too at right over 70 lbs. She should be sending me another picture from the front sometime soon. I've got pics of her from a little over half a year ago from her new owner, but they're horrible quality.

Absolutely stunning Huskey....... I have became acquainted with GSD again just listening to you and Becky. If I can remember to look for them I have some pictures of my mom and the GSD's she had and trained. they are from many years back though because I was just about 14 myself................. Still interesting to see the colors she favored etc..

ohh i see, wow 6 months to wait just to know something eh, there will be more oportunities.
Co-own how does that work with dogs lol?
i love her eyes though wow, they look so deep.
You can tell she thinks she is the s@#$ lol her stance is awsome!
That proves right there that doing your homework before and after words pays out.
well, maybe you can get first pick outta her litter if/when she breeds her.
Is she going to breed her to another gsd dog thats won titles in Schutzhund?
Do you have kennels for all your dogs outside or is that what the crates are for inside?

Oh, I won't be getting a pup out of Zelda.....now since I'm co-owning....if I wanted one I would be able to get one for free. Co-ownership basically....I pay half of everything, vet bills, food, ect. I'll pay half on all health tests, x rays, or whatever needs to be done. Pam said the first breeding I wouldn't have to pay anything. I'd really like to see Zelda get more than a SchH 2. Pams really going to get down to some serious training next month, her helper friend from Germany is coming and they'll really work on the protection part of it next month. Other than that she's almost ready for her BH, and getting close to the Schutzhund 1 also. She's doing the best she can and not trrying to get it as fast as she can....she wants more points over just getting a title and I respect that. The male she's looking at breeding her too is a Schutzhund 3 titled male. I don't know too much about him, just that he was imported, and the helper commented on how hard that dog bites lol. Since we have different rooms in our basement, Zelda and Anubis would be in my room....by the time shes here I pitty the guy who tries to get in my room lol. Two very dark colored GSDs in the dark coming at you wouldn't be a pretty site. The only time any dog will be out in a kennel is during their heat cycle. I'm hoping she sends a new pic of her from the front because shes got an awesome head on her.
