I'm a fan of dog movies, and I'll rent anything with a Rottie on the cover, so when I saw "Play Dead" I just had to grab it.
Its from the early 80's, before Rotties were really well known outside of their home country. The only "name" is Yvonne DiCarlo, who played Lily Munster in the Munsters.
It is the cheesiest piece of junk ever! You would think in a movie about a Satanic killer Rottweiler the dog would attack people, but no. The dog does kill people though, it strangles one with its leash, poisons another and electrocutes a third (by throwing a hairdryer into the tub!). The best scene however is the soft core porn sex scene...that the dog menacingly watches through the window! Duh duh duuuuh!
I will give credit to the dog though, very well trained girl!
