It was my understanding that the general feeling is that the alphabet game in itself is enough fun, and adding special rules to each round is too confusing.

In fact I thought you had agreed to that, too! The last round was never even finished, because people got too confused.

Yeah, Gord was taking a break from work in that picture. Back when I was a receptionist at a different animal hospital than I'm at now (one that didn't have any office cats), I would take him with me every day and let him loose on the counter. He'd pop his head up to greet clients, steal paperwork, steal my coworkers' food and drink their (decaf) coffee. The papers he's sleeping on are invoices for the patients.

He was my little ratty ambassador. He was the best rat I ever had and the best $3.00 I ever spent.

It depends on where you get them. Pet stores often classify those intended as feeders by size, then those intended as pets are labeled "fancy" and sold at a high price. Gordon was a "small rat" purchased at Petco and was on sale for $3.00.

My current boys were purchased from breeders and were about $25.00 each.
