I thought of a little game we could all play (all those interested).

It's a picture challenge game!

Here is how it goes....

One person first asks the other members to post a particular type of photo. You must post an example of the type of picture you want.

Members who want to play the game reply with the specific type of picture that was requested. You can show more than one picture of the specific theme.

Others keep posting replies until we reach a total of 3 replies (from different members) of the specific type of picture. We can increase the # of replies needed if there are many members playing.

A reply MUST include a picture following the current theme to count. ( A member may reply to the posts to comment on the pictures, but if their post does not contain a picture of the current theme, it will not count in the game, for example, i would be allowed to comment on how cute i think a particular picture is, but if i don't post an appropriate picture, my reply would not count, and we would still need to see 3 pictures from 3 DIFFERENT members before moving on to the next challenge).

We then move on to the next challenge.

The person to decide the next challenge is the person who posted the last reply to the previous challenge. (of the 3 replies needed, so technically, the person who posts the third reply with picture, gets to decide the new challenge.

And so on and so forth.

I don't know if these instructions are making sens to anyone, but if you are interested in playing and don't fully understand, don't be shy to ask.

I'll start it off to show you all what i mean.

The first Challenge will be.....

I would like to see pictures of your pet(s) wearing or touching something pink. ( I tried to start off easy, to make it less complicated, and besides pink was sooo easy for me, my favourite colour is pink, and Roxy has a pink bandage on her paw! :p)

I would now like to see 3 other members that can show me a picture of their pet(s) wearing or touching something pink.

The last person to reply with their appropriate picture is the next challenger.

We will keep going until 3 other people have showed pictures of their pet(s) with something pink.

After those 3 replies, the challenger then requests a type of picture, and provides an example.

And it keeps going like that.

I thought this could be a fun game/thread ( i may be wrong!:p) and it would also give us the opportunity to show off our fur-babies! (like we need an excuse:D)

Be creative and have fun with it!

Try taking some if you have enough time (like i mentioned in the rules, we can always increase the # of replies needed per challenge before moving on, so more people may get a chance to answer a specific challenge, i just didn't know how many people would want to play, so i picked a low #)

I guess so! It was very late when i made this post, maybe i just didn't think of the waiting factor. :p

Maybe we should change that part of the rules, what does everyone think? Makes more sense??

I think changing the rules in the middle of a game should not be done, gets too confusing.

People can still add their contributions to the earlier categories, if they wish, but keeping it: three before a change, and the first responder in each new category starting the new category after three responses keeps things moving smoothly.

(I have plenty of ideas for categories if anyone needs help when it's your turn. PM me, I won't tell...)

My problem is that one of the guys would end spilling something on the camera and then we'd have none. Has happened before so I tend to be carefull with it. Hmmm..........maybe if I put it on top shelf of entertainment center then at least it'd be in same room.

I was thinking along those lines, after I replied to you...I live alone with four cats, so there aren't that many distractions, and no one else is going to move the camera or spill something on it...but when you add two men and a dog to the mix....stuff happens!

You can't really see his all-time favourite toy, because he is laying half on it! But it's a catnip filled banana. There are 4 of his toys in this pic, a hanging mouse, a catnip banana, a little fuzzy mouse that moves when you pull the string on it, and a catnip filled gecko.

You picture me correctly, but Nikki was a rescue who needed me badly. I only had her for a year before she went to the Rainbow Bridge.

(her original family lived across the street from me and banished her to live outside, I couldn't bear it, couldn't rest easy in my own home knowing she was out there ignored and all alone, so I took her over)

No i don't think you're paranoid, when Roxy is in a car (i don't have a car of my own yet) i roll the window down a bit, but just enough for her to stick her nose out, I wouldn't let her stick her whole head out, i'm afraid she would JUMP out!

anything that shows them interacting with wind somehow counts!

i forgot to say i love your new signature katie.....have you seen the latest Alpo commercial where they infiltrate a 5 star doggy hotel and they're like "it's time for dogs to be dogs" or something like that....soooo cute. i don't feed alpo though...but good commercial.

i had never heard of it before i saw that commercial 2 days ago and now seeing it on your quote....and just 30 seconds ago i saw another commercial on hulu.

Chica used to stand on the window, with her whole top 1/2 of her body hanging out...then, one day...we rounded a corner and out she flew. :eek: ...so, now...she sticks to standing on the seat and poking just her nose out... :(

...she fell out, but my mom kept driving because she didn't want to hit her...we couldn't tell where she landed. Then, I looked back and Chica was hauling butt as fast as she could to catch up...got her inside the car, and went straight to the vet. She was bleeding pretty bad and shaking like crazy...she needed 15 or 20 stitches across one leg, she still has an impressive scar. Other than that, she faired well...for the longest time she wouldn't even go near the windows.

and about stealing her it cracks me up too because there's a small like grocery store a block away from my house. and our neighborhood is pretty small so they know us and my dog...and they're always like "better watch out...someone's gonna steal the little one!"

but yeah...she never had that typical yorkie coat as a baby....you know like the fluffy ones.....but now she's so pretty and everyone loves her long coat. i should update my signature picture.

Well, my bf lives with his parents, his parents said it would be ok for him to get a dog. So we went to pick up "Zach". Zach spent te first night at my house, so i go to sleep with him in my bed. But when his parents found out how big he was going to get, they changed their minds, they said he would have to be an outside dog, and my bf thought that wouldn't be fair to Zach. So we returned him the next day. :(

He was heartbroken that he couldn't keep Zach, (even if he didn't wanna admit it), and he still has no dog. But he is Roxy's "daddy", so we "share" her, he calls her his little girl. :D She gets so excited when he comes over, and he usually gives her a kiss before he gives me one!

Freklz Stole a bite of a blueberry muffin the other night! I had left 2 on the counter, and when i woke up and wanted one for breakfast, there was a bite gone! It was a huge coincidence that the piece missing was EXACTLY the size of Freklz mouth! And i have a pic to prove it. That lil bugger!

To make a picture smaller on my computer means sitting through resizing on photobucket, which takes almost a half an hour, which is why I stopped doing it. But if its a problem for other people to enjoy the thread I'll shrink 'em.

Next theme: Post a picture of when you were you were going to take a perfect picture of your pet only to have them change positions as you clicked the button on the camera

Like when they sneezed - I would just leave at this but I'm guess not to many people have the exact moment their pet sneezed on camera. This is what a cat looks like just as they begin to sneeze in case you have ever wondered

LOL! Yes, that's exactly it. They were SO cute all staring at me with big eyes, you know, and furrowed brows, how dare I remove my warm body from under them, don't I know they need their beauty sleep?

And it WAS like choreography, the way they were all suddenly scratching or licking...hilarious, I still giggle every time I look at that picture.
