View Full Version : Jon and Kate Plus 8... Plus 2 dogs?

I thought that since this is a television show it could go into this category.
So I sorta halfway watch this show, and i've been anticipating them getting their new puppies. So i watched...
They got 2 German Shepherd puppies (that thanks to certain people on here i can now identify and American show lines? correct me if I'm wrong but they showed the parents and they're HUGE and FLUFFY and the guy said the male pup will be over 100lbs so i assume they're American lines... and they look nothing like the pups that Husky06 has ever had.) one male named Shooka and the female named Nala.

I'm curious to see how this turns out since they both admitted to be new puppy owners. However knowing me, you guys will know my question is: Will Kate uphold her organic all natural food standard with the puppies too? I doubt it lol.

I can't see Kate and dogs living in the same house. She's so fussy, so particular...so not the type of person I can see with Shepherds.
I also doubt she'll keep up the organic with the dogs.

She admitted to not being a dog lover and I'm sitting here thinking... Why'd you get a dog if you don't like them? And then laughing at her cause she got mad at them for peeing in the house when she was letting them have free roam when she brought them home. I want to send them a list of things to do when you have puppies, but the puppies are probably nearly 6-7 months old by now.

heh, with 8 kids and two young dogs, she probably has her hands very full.
i don't really watch the show but i'm familiar with it..who takes care of all the training?

I suspect the producers of the show were like "Hur dur ratings are down... lets get 2 puppies to spice things up!", so either Kate will end up getting rid of the pups eventually (the popular theory on the internet) or the show will hire a trainer... Perhaps Ceasar will make a guest appearance on Jon and Kate Plus Eight!

Either Ceasar or Victoria Stillwell. Those two can barely stand each other most episodes, why on earth would anyone think not 1 but 2 puppies would be a good idea, and large breed puppies at that! :banghead:

I think Kate's gonna dump them when they are no longer a novelty to her kids and the show. That or they are going to become outside dogs who just disappear into the mist!

I think one or more of the kids will "develop an allergy" to the dogs and Kate will send them packing. I think they'd live outside anyways cause she said in the interview "now that we have all this land..." in regards to the decision to get the dogs, i assume she just thinks she'll toss em outside and let em run around the property.

Aiden and Alexis i think are the whiny ones... I know on the episode when they got the dogs the Sire was walking toward Aiden and he started screaming that he's scared of dogs.

I don't watch it all the time, pretty much only when there's nothing better on tv! LOL
I think they do still have the dogs. Although i don't see them that often when i do watch the show.

There's no way to not see two German Shepherds living with them, unless they've been shuffled to the outdoors. This ticks me mightily. All for TV show ratings. I wonder if they bought them from a breeder? I don't watch the show, but am aware they added two pups to the show/house.

They bought them from a retired police officer that kept them in outdoor kennels and when they brought the pups home Kate said to the kids "this is the first time these puppies have ever been indoors according to the breeder!", that sickened me.
And yeah they probably are making them stay outside now... German Shepherd shedding and Kate's obsessive cleanliness, they don't exactly mix.

They aren't making them stay outside. They have them inside. They let them run around outside and play. And they let them inside to sleep and eat and hang out. But the dogs seem to have a blast outside playing.
The police officer they bought them from was a breeder and he had them in kennels. The kennels had shelter and weren't just open outside to the elements.
I don't think it was for ratings at all but because they wanted to have a dog now that they had a bigger house and land. I think they make good pet owners. And the kids love and play with the dogs. Kate is stressed about having the puppies and the trouble they are, but who isn't with a puppy.
