One of my 4 year old Yorkies, Jack, is terrified of bugs. Fireflies, beetles, spiders, roly polies, they all scare him. He takes one look and runs in the other direction. This evening I was sitting on the porch step while the dogs all did their thing and a Daddy Long Legs crawled onto my leg. I totally freaked. I started screaming and swatting at it and guess who came up barking and biting at it? It was Jack, coming to Mama's rescue even though he's scared of those kind of things. The other 4 dogs just looked at me as if I'd lost my mind and didn't offer to help at all. That proves it. Love conquers all, even bugs.
