Cat losing fur

My cat has been losing fur for the past several weeks. His stomach and inside of his back legs are nearly bare. Now it is thinning around his head as well. He eats well and doesn't seem particularly ill although he is cleaning his fur constantly and scratching. I did have a flea collar on him for a while but this started before that. He no longer wears one and I have been combing him with a flea comb instead which leaves him with few fleas. Should I worry? :confused:

Yes, I would be concerned, he could be allergic to fleas. Give him a flea bath or better yet get some frontline and put it on him. Where you see one flea, there are hundreds of fleas and eggs you dont see, around the house that jump on for a snack and jump back off. Good luck.
