New 6 yr Collie

Hi, I'm Bob and I inherited a beautiful 6 yr old collie. Lately he's moody, won't eat his food or drink. I've taken him to the vet and he's healthy. I'm confused as to what might be going on or what to do. its frustrating and I need advice

Hello and welcome to petlovers! How long have you had...(what's his name?) your dog?

What has the vet done to determine that he is healthy? Has he done blood work to check organ function such as kidneys and liver and white blood cell count? A urine test to check for UTI and diabetes?

Is your dog voiding normally? (poop and pee?)

If your vet did not do blood work bring your dog back, or go to another vet, and get blood work done. a dog that won't eat or drink is sick. Unless you just got him a day or two ago, and he's having trouble adjusting to his new home. Grieving for a former family? What's his story?

i've had my collie/lab for just about a month now and she's just finally started eating regularly. i've read that collies can be finicky eaters, although it may not be true for all of them.

maybe just let him settle in for a bit and see how it goes, but if he's not peeing or anything, definitely go back to the doggy doctor.
