red eared slider

hello.
i have 3 red eared sliders.. one is almost full grown and the others r still veryy small. i was wondering is it ok for me to take out my big turtle and put him on the floor to walk around and play? i did it once but i dont wanna risk it gettin sick..
also if there anything i can do to prevent there tank from smelling so bad?

yeah you can let him out to play. just watch him, my brother was playing with mine and he forgot about it, he stayed in a closet (that he crawled into) over night! luckily he was ok and still is. just wash his shell after taking him out. i dont know what to do about the smell. i was asking the same thing:rolleyes:
