He was brought in a couple of weeks ago, 8pm, a bloke said he'd just found him wandering in the street... Whatever.

He's about 2 we think, and has no vision in either eye.

He likes to run around, banging into walls and dog beds, and ragging on the lead. He's a small dog with a MASSIVE personality!

He loves squeaky toys! That's all you hear from his kennel all day, squeak squeak squeak! You've really gotta watch your fingers, he'll just grab wherever the squeak comes from!

One vet said his eyes were a bit inflamed, but with eyedrops should be okay, another said he'd need them out! After a third opinion... He's keeping them! As long as they don't get any worse in the next 2 weeks, which he doesn't think they will, we'll go ahead and just neuter him, then he'll be ready for homing. Just gotta find someone who'll want a dog with scary eyes. Vet said there's a small chance he might even get some vision back in one of the eyes... The one the second Vet had given up on, and told us not to bother treating!

We're gonna see if we can get his story in The Press, and then we'll definitely find him a home.

So who took him? Is it a permanant home, or just a holiday furlough? He's a cutie, I admire the folks who take on the special needs animals. I see it's been a month between posts on him, what happened with his eyes?

He's got his forever home :) It's a lovely couple, with two other JRTs, one also blind in one eye.
His eyes didn't really change, so we just got him neutered. I don't think he got any vision back, not yet anyway.
Yay, 6 dogs rehomed this weekend!
