Okay right, I got this dog in, Bailey, who reminds me so much of Max... It's not just the way he looks, but everything about him!
He carries toys round in his mouth in the kennel.
He grabs a ball before you get him out.
He walks, looking up at you.
He dances with his whole body when he's excited.
He loves swimming.
He's totally ball obsessed.
He runs round the field shaking his stick.
When he's running around, he looks back at me all the time.
He'll run so far, then wait for me to catch up.

Both he and Max are the same age, I'm positive they're littermates. Do you think they could be, or am I just being mental?
And I'd only known him 16 hours before I let him off lead. He's a star, I love him. You know when sometimes certain dogs just... Get to you? He has.

Anyway, here are some photos of both, so you can see how similar they are.

Haha sorry... That they're littermates! It'd be such a big coincidence if there were

Max has a thinner look about him, but I see the resemblance. They could be litter mates...or maybe from the same parents but a different litter?

Its hard to say...so many lab/lab mixes look a like.

Two other people have said how similar they are, mannerisms and everything. It's maybe just me wanting Max back :(

Maybe I missed something? What happened with Max?

Oh, he got rehomed 4 weeks ago. He'd been in for 5 months, and I wanted him so much, but 'cos he was collie x I thought I couldn't exercise him enough. When I finally decided to take him, 'cos he'd been in so long and was such an angel, he got rehomed... And it's still weird without him :(

Well, at least it was a happy ending for him, I was getting worried that something bad happened!

Well we'll see. He's only been gone 4 weeks, and he was gone that long last time, then they brought him back, for being protective when strangers were in the house. He never actually did anything, but they didn't trust him after that with their son.
When Bailey was stood in reception with his owner, I thought it was Max back. I got that feeling you get in your stomach when something terrible happens... I was gonna go grab him and take him straight upstairs (where I live).

Not that I want to jinx it or anything... But if he did, he'd have a home with me definitely.

Bailey looks a little older to me...but anything is possible. It could be same mom different father type of thing.....ya know...hehehe......maybe Max has found him forver home and Bailey was sent to be yours?....or is Bailey just a visitor? Im still trying to figure out if by Kennel you mean like a borading sitiuaion that rescues on the side or if you mean like a rescue shelter. Dog wardens are your animal control right? Sorry...Im just trying to get it right in my head!

She works for the RSPCA, so by kennel she means the place the dogs are kept before they are adopted out.

Sorry yeah, rescue shelter. Dog Wardens are kinda like AC, but they just deal with stray dogs. They'll pick them up, keep for 7 days, afterwhich they are PTS unless shelters have room for them. They also rehome the ones they decide not to kill (ie pretty pedigrees).
Anything regarding cruelty or neglect goes to RSPCA inspectors, (or police, who just get the RSPCA in anyway).

Aww, that's great news! Lucky boy finding a home so quickly. Poor Emily, every time you love a dog as much as that it gets a home straight away! Why don't you try worshipping Summer a bit, and talk about adopting her? :)

I did, once upon a time when she actually liked me. She hates me now tho... Everyone always uses me as bait when they need a dog luring in :(

Emily, you feel things for a reason.

Does it really matter if they're littermates? If you got that 'dropped stomach' feeling when seeing Bailey, and feel such an internal bond with him, do you think maybe it's fate?

Sometimes one that needs us shows up when we least expect it.
