How long do they live???

Does anyone know howlong an anole lives? Mine has lived for sooo long, what is the average life span???

Life span: If properly kept, green anoles can live 7 to 10 years though the average life span is only three to five years because many die due to improper care and neglect.

This guy, we have had for about 9 1\2 yr, BUT, he\she\it, was fully grown when we got it, and his tail had broken off, and regrown, which is said to take about a year... So he is VERYold! I heard that they were only supposed to live for up to 5 years like you said, so I was wondering when the silly lizzard is going to die!!! He has probably costed us a thousand dollars by now feeding him crickets, and using the electricity for the light!!! No, I am not complaining because he's lived so long, I am fasinated...
