View Full Version : I want to see eyes.

I think it's about time for a new photo sharing thread. Eyes are the window to the soul (or so they say), and I think it'd be fun to have a post of just eyes.

All types are wanted, beautiful, angry, sad, embarrassed, dirty, ugly, frightened, wounded, or just plain cute. I'd like to see eyes of all different types of pets, in different types of situations.

Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, horses, rabbits, rodents, even human eyes.

I'd like everyone to 'take new photos' but old ones will work too.

I'll begin:

Let the other members guess what what type of pet (breed specific if possible) owns the eyes.

What creature owns this eye?

Well at least you spelled right! LOL I know/knew how to spell it also, but for some reason it just wouldn't transmit from my brain to the keyboard at this time of night.

I put the camera right in front of thier face, and take the picture. Then I crop it so you can only see the eye.

While I can't take credit for this photo (it was taken by a good friend) I thought it would go perfectly in this thread. This was one of the first shots taken with their new camera, so you can see the camera reflected back, but that's alright.

Does anyone know who's eye this belongs to?

Very cool eye!

I'm thinking either snake of lizard. Lets here what some experts on reptiles say.

Well knowing Krystal - I'd have to say that it is a Gecko's eye.

Now that's intense. Do they even have a pupil? Is that squiggly black line their pupil? Their eyes are so different than what I imagine an eye should look like. It's very cool to see them.

That is his pupil completely constricted. They do open up a bit more with less light. Kyle uses a lot of flash with these macro pictures.

Mines a dog...how can you make them bigger?

Macawpower58
07-21-2009, 12:04 PM
If you have a photo editing program, just enlarge the diameter. If it's a tiny photo though, quality will get lost when you enlarge it.
