Before I started to change Bubba's diaper:o... And during - boy, does he ever get angry!

You would think that by now he would be used to it, but he STILL gets shocked and amazed:eek:that I am doing this! Go figure...

That certainly two different sides of Bubba. I wonder if it is also frustration on his part that he is having to be this way. Poor little guy.

I feel terrible for him too. I hate it that he has to wear the diapers, which he obviously hates, but what other choice have I got, other than leaving him in a crate on puppy pads? That is no life for a dog. So, it is diapers for Bubba. As soon as I'm done changing the diaper and pick in him, he calms down quickly, then licks my face. I think he knows that this is his life right now, maybe the rest of his life, he just doesn't like it.

I wish he had never become paralyzed, that way he would be grumpy for reasons other than diapering, but this is it, I guess. He's happy most of the time, though - that's a plus! And I'm still glad that I decided to give him a chance. My Dad wanted me to euthanize him when it first happened, but I wanted to give him some time. I'm glad that I did. Because he has made some progress, like wagging his tail for me, moving his legs, getting up on his knees and sometimes he can hold himself on his hind legs for a just a few seconds (albeit, wobbly seconds).
